What is breathwork?
Integral Breath Therapy is an experiential process that uses breathing techniques to clear out physical, mental and emotional blocks or stresses. The origin of most human behavioral difficulties is in very early childhood experiences. Early in life we learn to suppress our emotions physically by tensing muscles and restricting the breath. Over time, this protective process becomes chronic and automatic and we lose the capacity to experience and express emotions. This repression can zap our vitality and rob us of the ability to experience the positive feelings of love, joy and pleasure. This breathing pattern triggers a natural process of cleaning and purifying in both the body and the psyche. The combination of deep relaxation, openness of the body and mind, and increased oxygen intake tends to dissolve everything that stands in the way of the body's natural circulation.

The altered state of consciousness created through the use of the breath brings unconscious issues into awareness, enabling the participant to release held emotions and stress, heal unresolved trauma, relieve stress, and address a belief system that was taken on early in life.

The IBT modality rapidly brings old and hard-to-reach issues, patterns, or traumas to conscious awareness for release and integration. The individual can progress rapidly to greater understanding, health, and vitality by using specific tools and techniques. IBT uses various techniques and the breath to achieve profound healing. Integration and unification result as blocks are cleared and the individual reclaims personal power.

What to expect in a group breathwork:
You will be working with the breath, intention and music: 45-60 minutes breathing the circular breath. This particular type of breathwork is intended to activate, β€œbring up” the experience that is ready to be released. The only way out is through.

Pain needs a witness to heal. You are wounded in community and you can heal in community. Beyond yourself, when you allow yourself to be seen and held by a community with an aligned and mutual commitment, the healing not only integrates deeper but also faster. If you had a childhood you at some point had imprinted experiences that were less than nurturing; aka trauma.  This is a fundamental part of being a human being. We all have our own humanity to face and release. When you make the decision to come to a group breathwork it is a commitment to your healing process. I honor and am honored to support any one who makes the decision to live from their hearts and transcend their humanity. You are 100% responsible for your process and experience. Willingness and the breath are the essentials to their process.
